Post Construction Walk-Through

Once construction is complete and your project is ready for occupancy, our team conducts a comprehensive post-construction walk-through with you to formally close out the project. This is a dedicated, unhurried review of the finished space – an opportunity to walk through every area together, assess the completed work against the approved drawings and design intent, and ensure that every detail has been executed to the standard you were promised.

Any items that require follow-up, adjustment, or clarification are documented and addressed before the project is considered complete. This final step is not a formality – it is our commitment to you that the project meets your expectations in every respect, and that you are walking away fully satisfied with the result.

From the first pre-consultation meeting to this final walk-through, our goal has always been the same: to deliver a finished project you’re proud of.

Pre-Construction

Every project begins with an on-site pre-consultation meeting where we review your project scope, budget, and timeline. This meeting is designed to help us better understand your vision, define your needs and wants, and set clear expectations.

Feasibility Study and Zoning Research

Following the pre-consultation meeting, our team conducts a thorough review of applicable provincial building codes and local municipal zoning by-laws to confirm project feasibility and to ensure the design progress as smoothly as possible.

Design Development

Using notes from the pre-consultation meeting and feasibility study, our team prepares a preliminary design concept for your review. This gives you the opportunity to play an active role in the process before we deliver the final design package.

Construction Documentation

Once the design has been finalized and approved, our team prepares the detailed construction documents required for all necessary approvals – including site plan approval and building permit submissions – along with the full technical information contractors need to price and complete the project.

Permit Submission and Planning Approval

After a through final review of all drawings and supporting documents, our team will prepare and submit your building permit application package to the local municipality along with any additional planning approvals that may be required for your project.

Construction

When all permits have been approved and construction is underway, our team will remain closely involved your chosen contractor to offer support and address any questions that may arise.
